Portland, January 5, 2020:  Ophthalmologist Daniel B. Brown, M.D. of Oregon Eye Specialists was named in this year’s “Top Doctors” list published by Portland Monthly Magazine in January. The list is published annually and comprised of physicians voted as leaders in their specialty by their peers. The magazine sent ballots to thousands of doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in the Portland metro area and Southwest Washington. Survey participants were asked “If you or a loved one were in need of medical help, which doctor would you choose?” Respondents could name one doctor in as many as 78 specialties. Doctors who received the most votes in each field are included in the list.

“Dr. Brown is the kind of physician I would choose for myself or my family.  He is thoughtful, thorough and ethical,” says Dr. Kelly D. Chung, Oregon Eye Specialists St. Vincent partner.

Dr. Brown practices comprehensive ophthalmology with special interests in cataract surgery, diabetic eye care and glaucoma. Dr. Brown received his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his ophthalmology residency at The Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Brown is board certified in ophthalmology. He joined Oregon Eye Specialists in 2000.

Over the last 9 years, Dr. Brown has been actively involved with Great Shape iCARE missions in Jamaica providing cataract surgery, eye exams and glasses to many in need. Dr. Brown and his wife, Karin, met in Madison Wisconsin and love the Portland area. His recreational activities include hiking, camping, sailing, scuba diving and skiing.
