We defined our mission of Clarity with our patients in mind – but in the last 20 years, OES’s dedication to providing eye care has extended far beyond our clinics. On an organizational level and in the hearts of our providers, we are committed to volunteering our services to those who need it most.

This community-oriented mindset is geared toward our closest neighbors in the Pacific Northwest, and reaches as far to those across the world in poverty-ridden countries.

Whether our providers are restoring sight to those in need, or our patients generously contribute to our yearly charitable campaigns, we love working with others to make the world a better place. After all, we know healthy eyes and vision are directly related to quality of life – and we aim to spread this principle as far as we can.

Great Shape – iCare

In 2014, two of our Oregon Eye Specialists doctors teamed up on a medical mission to a small mountain town near Montego Bay, Jamaica. The mission was sponsored by Great Shape – iCare, which provides eye exams, glasses and much-needed treatments to people in Jamaica.

The small surgical team performed cataract surgeries at Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay. “We were able to help 33 patients in just four days, which is a real accomplishment,” says OES doctor Dr. Dan Brown.
