Dr. Crawford practices comprehensive ophthalmology, with interests in cataract surgery, diabetic eye care and glaucoma. He has practiced ophthalmology in Portland since 1984 and chaired the Division of Ophthalmology at Providence Portland Medical Center for many years. He also practices at Legacy Good Samaritan and Emanuel hospitals and is a clinical instructor at Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Crawford received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center. He is board certified in ophthalmology. Dr. Crawford joined Oregon Eye Specialists in 1994.
“The great thing about being an eye physician is that I can help improve the lives of a high percentage of the people I see,” says Dr. Crawford. ”It’s important that every patient feels satisfied with our interaction and that all their concerns are addressed. Communication is a high priority, and I’ve enjoyed establishing many rewarding long-term relationships with my patients.”
In his time away from practice, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, skiing and golfing.
