Omaya Youssef, M.D., FACS
Dr. Youssef treats patients with all types of eyelid and lacrimal (tear drainage system) problems, including drooping eyelids, eyelid malpositions (turning outward or inwards), and blocked tear ducts. He performs specialized surgery on the eyelids to correct various lid problems, including the removal of cancerous growths. Dr. Youssef also treats patients with neurological problems around the eyes, including blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking spams) and facial palsy (weakening or paralysis of the facial muscles around the eye).
Dr. Youssef earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California in Los Angeles. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and continued his subspecialty training in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Youssef is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He believes in affording every patient the care and compassion that is needed to address their concerns, while ultimately delivering the best and up-to-date treatment in the most professional manner. “Not only is it a duty, but it is my privilege to serve those who have entrusted me with their care,” says Dr. Youssef.
Dr. Youssef is the father of 3 young boys, and enjoys spending time playing soccer, basketball, and football with them.
