Dr. Lyons practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a special interest in cataract surgery. She also cares for patients with glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy and does eyelid surgery.

Dr. Lyons received her M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health & Science University. She is board certified in ophthalmology. Since 1998, she has served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Lyons volunteers for Project Access, a Portland clinic for the uninsured, and has worked with Medical Teams International. She has been with Oregon Eye Specialists since 1996.

“One of my greatest moments was learning I was accepted to Casey Eye Institute,” says Dr. Lyons. “I love the outdoors, and always wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest.” Dr. Lyons bikes to work four days a week and has done Cycle Oregon eight times. She also enjoys yoga, hiking with her Siberian Husky, and running. With her husband Matt, she enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving and cross-country skiing.
