Dr. Larson has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in the Portland area since 1980. He provides general eye care for our Tualatin and Newberg patients, including diabetic eye care and glaucoma care.
Dr. Larson is originally from Eugene, Oregon, and graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in chemical engineering. After deciding to pursue medicine as a career, he received his M.D. from Oregon Health & Science University, where he also completed an ophthalmology residency. Dr. Larson is board certified in ophthalmology, and served as president of the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology in 1987-1988. He joined Oregon Eye Specialists in 1993 as one of the founding partners. Before that, Dr. Larson had his own ophthalmology practice in Portland from 1980-1993.
When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Larson’s interests include biking, skiing and backpacking. Watching bears and wolves in Alaska is his favorite activity.
