Dr. Tom Crawford graduated with distinction in Biological Sciences from Stanford University in 1976. He received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and completed an Internal Medicine internship at Baylor Hospital. Dr. Crawford then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. He has practiced Ophthalmology in Portland since 1984 and with The Oregon Eye Specialists since 1994.
Dr. Crawford is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology and his interests include cataract surgery, diabetic eye care and glaucoma. He has been the Chairman of the Division of Ophthalmology at Providence Portland Medical Center for many years, and he also practices at Legacy Portland Hospitals (Good Samaritan and Emanuel). He has been appointed a Clinical Instructor at the Casey Eye Institute.

Communication is a high priority, and I have enjoyed establishing many rewarding long term relationships with my patients.”
In his time away from practice, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, skiing and golf.
