LATISSE™ - For Longer, Thicker, Darker Lashes

Oregon Eye Specialists is now offering LATISSE™, the innovative prescription treatment used to assist in the growth of longer, thicker and darker eyelashes. Created by Allergan, the same company that brought us Botox®, LATISSE™ is FDA-approved and was developed for patients suffering from hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough eyelashes).

How does LATISSE™ work?
LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle by increasing the length of this phase, as well as the number of lashes produced during the phase. The prescription solution is applied topically along the base of the upper eyelashes once nightly. Results can be seen in as little as four weeks, and full results after 16 weeks. Following 16 weeks, it may be possible to reduce application to twice a week to maintain the lashes. Individual results may vary and patients are encouraged to consult their physician along the way.
How is LATISSE™ applied?
|

|
-
Once nightly, start by ensuring your face is clean, makeup and contact lenses are removed.
-
Holding one of the supplied sterile applicators horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE™ solution on the area of the applicator closest to the tip but not on the tip.
-
Then immediately draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes (where the eyelashes meet the skin) going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part.
-
Blot any excess solution beyond the eyelid margin.
-
Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite upper eyelid margin using a new sterile applicator. This helps minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to another.
-
Repeat nightly as instructed by your doctor.
